Google has started sending out its April 2026 software update to Pixel phones across the United States.
The update is now available for Pixel models from the Pixel 6 to the Pixel 10 series. This includes the Pixel 10a, Pixel 10 Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold.
Users on Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are getting it first.
The update focuses on fixing common user-reported problems.
It solves random game crashes on the Pixel 10 phones.
It also makes banking and money apps work better without sudden stops.
Quick Share file transfers are now more reliable.
Plus, the Backup menu in Settings is back and working.
The update includes the latest Android security patch and small improvements to the camera.
This release comes as the Pixel 10a gains strong interest in the US.
Many people like its low price of $359-$499, along with deals and trade-ins.
Users praise its good camera, easy software, and smart AI tools.
Google’s Pixel phones are growing fast in the US market.
Sales are up about 14% from last year, even as the overall phone market stays flat.
“Google is listening to users and fixing issues quickly,” said Sarah Chen, a phone market expert at Counterpoint Research.
“This helps keep current owners happy and brings in new ones.”
To get the update, go to Settings > System > System update on your Pixel phone.
Make sure your phone is on Wi-Fi and has at least 50% battery.
If you do not see the update yet, check again later.
Google says users should back up their phones before installing any update.
More details are on the official Pixel support website.
The April 2026 update shows Google’s plan to continue improving its phones amid tough competition from Apple and Samsung.
