India’s young batting prodigy, Yashasvi Jaiswal, is gearing up to face Bangladesh in the much-anticipated two-match Test series starting September 19 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

With the runs flowing and praise pouring in, Jaiswal is not just focusing on the next game but on maintaining his phenomenal form, which has already left cricket fans in awe.

Currently India’s top run-scorer in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25, Jaiswal has amassed 1028 runs in just nine Tests. However, he is not done yet.

“I do not overthink it; I just focus on improving every day,” Jaiswal said with a modest grin during a chat with Jio Cinema at the Duleep Trophy.

In the Duleep Trophy, Jaiswal did not rest on his laurels either, racking up 30 runs in the first innings for India B.

Always striving, constantly pushing—it is no wonder cricketing legends like Nathan Lyon and former Australian coach John Buchanan have already marked him as a “threat” for the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Jaiswal said, “Playing Test matches is always fun, and I cannot wait to face Bangladesh. The key is to stay consistent with my preparation, and that will show in the results.”

Whether it is the Chennai heat or the fiery Australian bowlers down the line, one thing is clear—Yashasvi Jaiswal is all set to make more headlines, both in the upcoming series and beyond.
