In a cabinet meeting filled with determination and resolve, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif delivered a powerful message about Balochistan’s future.

His words echoed a deep commitment to eliminating the threat of terrorism and pushing forward the development of one of Pakistan’s most vital regions.

No Place for Terrorism

In his address, PM Shehbaz Sharif did not mince words. He condemned the ongoing efforts by terrorists and foreign elements to create division and unrest in Balochistan.

With a firm tone, he assured the nation that those behind these violent acts would face severe consequences.

“There will be no place for those who try to plant seeds of hatred in Balochistan,” he declared, sending a clear message that the government is fully committed to restoring peace and stability.

Sharif highlighted a recent event on August 26, where attempts were made to stir up a separatist movement in the province.

He said this was a stark reminder of Balochistan’s challenges.

However, the Prime Minister clarified that the government would not back down despite these obstacles.

There would be no negotiations with those who seek to harm Pakistan’s unity, especially when external forces are supporting them.

Standing by the Martyrs and Supporting the Armed Forces

The Prime Minister took a moment to honor the families of the martyrs, those brave individuals who have sacrificed their lives in the fight against terrorism.

He spoke with deep respect for their resilience, acknowledging that their sacrifices have kept the nation strong in the face of such threats.

PM Sharif also praised the Pakistan Army.

He acknowledged their relentless efforts in combating the enemies of the state and reaffirmed the full support of the federal and Balochistan governments.

“Our armed forces are crucial in restoring peace in Balochistan, and we stand with them every step of the way,” he said, ensuring that all necessary resources would be provided to continue their vital work.

A Vision for Balochistan’s Future

He emphasized the province’s development, noting that its progress is essential not just for the region but for Pakistan as a whole.

“Balochistan’s success is Pakistan’s success,” he stated, highlighting the government’s focus on the area.

He also warned that those who engage in terrorism are not just attacking Balochistan; they are trying to disrupt the strong friendship between Pakistan and China, which is central to the success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The Prime Minister vowed that those who threaten this relationship would be made an example of.

Progress Amid Challenges

Despite the ongoing challenges, there are positive signs on the horizon.

PM Sharif pointed out that Moody’s has recognized improvements in Pakistan’s economic situation, which strongly indicates the country’s resilience.

He also praised the Balochistan government for its excellent youth programs, which he believes are critical to the province’s future.

Highlighting the special attention given to Balochistan, he noted that the province’s quota is 10% higher than the rest of Pakistan, reflecting a focused effort to uplift the region.

In a move toward sustainable development, the Prime Minister announced a significant initiative: 28,000 tube wells in Balochistan will be converted to solar power.

This step is expected to address the province’s energy challenges and promote environmental sustainability.

Finally, PM Sharif spoke about Balochistan’s enormous potential within the CPEC framework.

He highlighted the economic opportunities that CPEC would bring to the region, emphasizing that these developments could transform Balochistan into a hub of prosperity.
