Sungrow, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems, has marked a significant milestone by reaching 20 GW in cumulative contracted inverter orders across Latin America.
The announcement was made during Intersolar South America 2024.
Sungrow also showcased its latest innovations in solar, energy storage, and EV charging technologies, reinforcing its commitment to the region’s clean energy future.
Leading the Charge in Latin America’s Renewable Energy Transition
As Latin America accelerates its adoption of renewable energy, Sungrow is leading the charge and playing a pivotal role in the continent’s decarbonization efforts.

Introducing Advanced Residential and Commercial Solutions
At the expo, Sungrow introduced its newest residential and commercial solutions tailored to meet Latin America’s growing demand for renewable energy.
Among the highlights was the S2000S-SA microinverter, designed for residential use.
It features a 2 kW power rating and an innovative thermal design that ensures optimal performance even in high temperatures.
This product and Sungrow’s comprehensive range of single-phase and three-phase PV inverters meet the stringent safety standards required in the Brazilian market.
For the commercial and industrial sectors, Sungrow unveiled the SG75CX-LV inverter, which boasts a 75 kW power rating and is compatible with large PV modules.
This robust inverter is designed for durability. Features like IP66 protection and C5 anti-corrosion ratings ensure reliable performance in challenging environments.
Expanding Utility-Scale and EV Solutions
Sungrow continues strengthening its presence in the utility-scale PV market by launching the SG250HX-20, a 250 kW inverter with active DC protection for enhanced safety.
Additionally, with the rapid growth of the electric vehicle (EV) market in Latin America, Sungrow presented various EV charging solutions, including 180 kW and 30 kW DC chargers, alongside 22 kW AC solutions, catering to the increasing demand for reliable EV infrastructure.
Sungrow also highlighted its latest energy storage innovation, the PowerTitan 2.0, a liquid-cooled energy storage system designed to stabilize the grid and ensure energy reliability.
This technology will be instrumental in projects like the 200MW/880MWh BESS del Desierto in Latin America, the region’s largest standalone energy storage plant.

Since entering the Latin American market in 2017, Sungrow has established itself as a leader in the renewable energy sector, providing comprehensive solutions across the continent.
