At a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, billionaire Elon Musk joined former President Donald Trump to encourage people to register to vote.

Musk warned that the Democratic Party poses a severe threat to democracy and urged everyone to act quickly, especially since voter registration deadlines are coming up soon in Georgia and Arizona.

“Register to vote, OK? Moreover, get everyone you know and even those you do not know to register. Only two days remain before the registration to vote in Georgia and Arizona. Text people now. And then make sure they vote,” Musk said.

He warned that this could be the last election if people do not vote.

Musk’s comments were surprising because they sounded similar to what Democratic leaders often say about Trump.

Critics have noted that it was Trump who encouraged a crowd to march to the Capitol on January 6, 2021, and then did not take action while the violence occurred.

Musk, a strong supporter of Trump and the owner of the social media platform X, stressed that the 2024 election is crucial.

He claimed that Trump’s opponents want to take away people’s rights, including free speech and the right to vote.

This rally was especially significant for Trump because it was his first visit to Butler since an assassination attempt against him earlier in the summer.

He acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and paid tribute to Corey Contempore, a firefighter who died during the earlier incident.

Trump also thanked the Secret Service for keeping him safe.

The rally featured several prominent speakers, including Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, and his son, Eric Trump.

During a moment of silence for the victims of the previous incident, opera singer Christopher Macchio performed “Ave Maria.”

Trump continued to speak about his goals, saying his supporters deserve a government free from special interests and lobbyists.

He claimed that over the past eight years, his opponents have tried to stop him by slandering him, impeaching him, and even attempting to kill him.

Following a recent attempt on his life at his Florida golf club, Trump accused President Biden and Vice President Harris of stirring up violence against him, claiming, “Their words are causing me to be shot at.”

As investigations into both assassination attempts are ongoing, officials have found no evidence linking Trump’s political opponents to these threats.
